A menos de una semana de que el gobernador del Estado de México , Enrique Peña Nieto , anunciara la entrega de tres camiones recolectores de residuos al municipio de Metepec, la alcaldesa Ana Lilia Herrera Anzaldo recibió las unidades vehiculares por parte del secretario del Medio Ambiente, Gustavo Cárdenas Monroy.
En una ceremonia donde la alcaldesa metepequense atestiguó el cumplimiento del compromiso del Ejecutivo estatal con la ciudadanía the municipality, Ana Lilia Herrera also presented the report of compliance of 25 points required in an environmental audit that was submitted to the council to know the contribution of pollutants to the Lerma River, in order to integrate a comprehensive plan for its recovery and rescue.
Satisfactory results were certified by the Secretary Cárdenas Monroy, who emphasized that the first demarcation Metepec to comply with the audit results and this, he said, is another element which confirms the environmental leadership that has the entire town hall State of Mexico.
